The Hobbit
The Hobbit is an edition of the Magic the Gathering card game that comes from the world of Lord of the Rings. Two years ago we saw the Lord of the Rings set and it was a great success. So there are similar expectations around the new set of The Hobbit. We will see new MTG cards like Bilbo, Smaug the Dragon, and the 13 Dwarves. But you can also look forward to other great flavor cards like the ring itself, as well as, for example, the riddles (Riddles in the Dark) that Bilbo and Gollum used to do in the dark cave.
The Hobbit edition will provide the following packs: collector boxes, play boxes and packs, bundle, gift bundle, scene boxes, or a special draft night pack. There is also speculation of pre-Christmas special Hobbit themed boxes.
Release date is August 14, 2026.
Selected cards have already been posted here. We can look forward to beautiful lands with the theme of the Dark Forest (Forest), the Hobbit (Plan), the River Anduin (Island), the Misty Mountains (Mountain), or the Barrel Ride (Swamp).
